"Dearest Gentle Players, The 1814 Marriage Season is in full bloom, and ambitious mamas have dragged their hopeful offspring to the countryside for a weekend house-party at The Weis Mansion. All the fashionable set are here - diamonds, rakes, wallflowers, fortune-hunters, and chaperones alike - each hiding scandals behind the painted fans and practiced smiles of the Regency period."

As champagne flows, quadrilles spin, and whispered proposals are made in moonlit gardens, old grudges and secret engagements threaten to ruin more than reputations than any scandal sheets ever could.

When, halfway through the masquerade ball, a dastardly crime is committed - the remaining guests must sift through torn dance cards and poisonous gossip to unmask the culprit. The only thing colder than this crime is a spurned suitor!

Scandal at the Bridgington Ball is a Regency-themed mystery party for 8-24 players by Christopher D. Schmitz. It plays exactly like the other Detective Weis Murder Mysteries, except that the crime is not an unforseen death.
